BECA is the St. Mary's County Business, Education, and Community Alliance. BECA works to help more students from St. Mary's County achieve their higher education goals. We provide the St. Mary's County Common Scholarship Application with over $200,000 in local scholarships. The 2018 application is now closed.

#1 Question for the Common Scholarship Application. What do I do with the paper application when I'm finished and it is signed?

When you have completed the application, you must print it and then deliver it, with supporting documentation, to BECA.

  • SMCPS students will turn in their applications at their school's College and Career Center. You will receive a receipt.
  • Non-SMCPS students should deliver their application to Ms. Beverly Dahlstrom at the Moakley Street Offices of St. Mary's County Public Schools. She is in the Office of  Strategic Planning and Communications, Suite 108, which is the first door to the right of the elevator in the main floor, next to the security desk. You will receive a receipt.
  • If you are unable to drop off your application, you may mail it to BECA, P.O. Box 153, Leonardtown, MD 20650.

Congratulations to the students who earned scholarships by using BECA's 2017 St. Mary's County Common Scholarship Application.
